Spain Travel Cities

Aside from being well-known for its food, Spain is much loved by tourists because of its rich history. There is so much one can do and so many places one can go to in Spain. If your head is spinning due to your numerous options and you are limited as to time, here are some places which you might consider NOT missing out on.

Madrid

Whoever said that a country’s capital is the heart and soul of that country couldn’t have been more right if he were talking about Madrid. This city has everything you can ask for. Museums, food, and nightlife are all for the taking. Don’t miss: Old Madrid, the Museo del Prado, and the Palacio Real.

Toledo

Once the capital of Spain, Toledo hasn’t lost its charms and attractions. In fact, it has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From Madrid, you wouldn’t have to go very far to see all that Toledo has to offer. Be sure to visit the Alcazar, the Cathedral, and the Casa-Museo de El Greco.

Granada

Though quite far from Madrid and Toledo, Granada is the one place in Andalusia that you shouldn’t miss. Moorish influence is at its height in Granada. Make sure you visit the Alhambra, the Albaicín and the Old City.

Costa del Sol

One of the most popular tourist destinations in Spain, Costa del Sol is especially for beach lovers. If you are the type who is averse to crowds, though, some areas might be too crowded for you. Still, you will not suffer from the lack of other places to visit in the outlying areas.
